Working For You

Meet The Team

Together We Work To Help You...

Someone once said … “No Man Is An Island” and we understand why.

The Flora May Foundation was built on the backbone of HOPE, Hope that our passion to help will improve the lives of families experiencing major physical or mental crisis.

We place high value on every form of a family unit, especially when children are involved.

We realized from the beginning: the most successful outreach/assistance programs are achieved through collaboration and like all great things, we started small.

We took a few like-minds with a shared vision — and ran with it. Today, we’ve grown into an IRS approved 5013c worldwide non-profit foundation.

“There’s no hard sell in philanthropy but we needed the best, most skilled team in order to make this foundation a success.”

Our team

The Flora May Foundation Board of Directors is a group of women leaders and advocates actively engaged and invested in generating community awareness and philanthropic support for the health and well-being of children.

Debbie Hansen

President and Founder

Debbie Hansen, Founder & CEO of The Flora May Foundation, has made significant strides in supporting parents dealing with their children’s mental health challenges.

Drawing from her personal experiences, Debbie established the foundation to provide much-needed resources, counseling, transportation, workforce development & educational programs to parents and children in need.

Under her leadership, the foundation has successfully implemented crisis intervention services, those that benefit parents of struggling kids. She developed comprehensive educational workshops, and launched stigma reduction campaigns. Debbie’s dedication to mental health advocacy has fostered a supportive community, ensuring parents are never alone in journeys with their child or teenagers. Her visionary approach and unwavering commitment have transformed countless lives, making The Flora May Foundation a vital resource to parents of children with mental health services, addiction, and other issues.

Sofia DePena

Marketing Intern

Sofia is currently a high school senior who brings plenty of community service experience to The Flora May Foundation. Sofia wants to become a dermatologist, since her passion stems from helping others and putting a smile on their face. Her favorite part about interning is the impact she has with the public; through social media posts and campaigns she’s created for our organization. Her hobbies include volleyball, photography, and painting when she’s not in school or interning for The Flora May Foundation. Sofia’s goal is to gain experience while she’s attending school and college, to round out her resume. We’re thrilled to have Sofia joining our team and can’t wait to see what she does with her future in medicine.

Yolie has worked in the financial services industry for more than 8 years and believes her dedication to her clients is preeminent.
